Medical expertise

Since the beginning of his practice, he has been involved in ultrasound diagnostics for both adults and children. He has extensive experience in Doppler ultrasound of the vascular system, contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) and multiparametric abdominal ultrasound (MPUS). He also specialises in the diagnosis of skin and soft tissue tumours, lower limb disorders, and advanced internal medicine and gastroenterology diagnostics. In addition, he is involved in the prevention of lifestyle-related diseases and cancer, combining his ultrasound expertise with a broad clinical approach.

Scientific and professional achievements

Dr Szczepański is a renowned lecturer and teacher in the field of clinical ultrasound. He teaches in Poland and other European countries. In 2018, he was the first in Poland and the second in Europe to conduct training in skin and integument ultrasound; this was followed in 2025 by the first international course in Poland, the ‘Interdisciplinary Skin and Integument Ultrasound Course’, conducted in English. In 2024, he was the first in Poland to conduct training on the groundbreaking use of multiparametric ultrasound (MPUS) in the diagnosis of abdominal organs.

In 2025, he conducted Poland’s first international ultrasound training course in English, entitled ‘Interdisciplinary Skin and Integument Ultrasound Course’, as well as Poland’s first ultrasound training course abroad, in Norway.

Dr Szczepański’s professional achievements also include the introduction of pioneering modern diagnostic methods in Poland, such as: R.E.M.S. densitometry without ionising radiation as part of osteoporosis prevention in 2016; contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) in 2022. He was the first in Poland to perform an intraoperative CEUS examination during a kidney tumour-sparing surgery at the Marciniak Lower Silesian Hospital in Wrocław. He is currently also conducting pioneering research on the functional assessment of organs using MPUS multiparametric ultrasound.

He has given a series of innovative presentations at renowned Polish medical conferences:

  • ‘The use of ultrasound in dermatology and aesthetic medicine’, Innovative Academy of Aesthetic Dermatology in Sopot, 2022;
  • ‘Multimodal assessment of abdominal organs in ultrasound using CEUS, elastography, microvascularisation mode and Doppler options’, Congress of the Polish Medical Radiological Society in Wrocław, 2023;
  • ‘The use of CEUS in outpatient practice’, Conference of the Polish Ultrasound Society in Bydgoszcz, 2023;
  • ‘Spectrum of Contrast Enhanced Ultrasound Utilisation’, Contrast Ultrasound Conference in Gorzów Wielkopolski, 2024;
