USG 3D

3D ultrasound – imaging with the three-dimensional (3D) technique gives the possibility of spatial evaluation of the examined objects.

This examination is widely used in gynaecology, especially in the diagnosis of infertility, suspected anomalies and defects of the reproductive organs, as it enables a precise spatial assessment of the uterine cavity and the application of appropriate treatment. In obstetrics, obtaining a three-dimensional image of the foetus and anatomical cross-sections of its individual structures and organs allows not only to view its external surface (facial features and expression), but above all provides insight into its internal organs, thus facilitating the diagnosis of possible anomalies and malformations, and thus the initiation of appropriate therapy at the stage of foetal life. However, it is important to remember that 3D imaging is an additional and complementary examination to basic 2D imaging.
